Yugoslavia and four of its neighbours will pledge to boost economic and political cooperation at the EU-Balkans summit being held in Zagreb tomorrow (24 November).

Leaders from Yugoslavia, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Albania will sign up to increasing regional cooperation, working towards creating a free-trade area and boosting efforts to combat organised crime when they meet EU foreign ministers. Union governments will tell them that progress in these areas will influence their chances of joining the bloc.
