On the 31 August 2004, the World Trade Organisation (WTO) has given the European Union and others the go-ahead to impose sanctions on the US for its anti-dumping rule under the Byrd Amendment. The WTO issued decisions by the arbitrator regarding the level of suspension of concessions and other obligations that Brazil, Canada, Chile, the European Communities, India, Japan, Korea, Mexico, may request to apply, respectively, in the case 'United States: Continued Dumping and Subsidy Offset Act of 2000'. |
