The European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions carried out a comprehensive survey of working time and work-life balance in European companies in more than 21,000 European workplaces between autumn 2004 and spring 2005. The survey covered the fifteen ‘old’ Member States of the European Union and six of the new Member States - the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Latvia, Hungary, Poland and Slovenia. The findings of the survey were presented at Employment Week 2006 in Brussels, Belgium, on 17 May 2006. |
