Woody wine talks foment EU rebellion

Diplomats from Member States are considering whether Australia should be allowed to export to the European Union wine that has been stored together with oak chips. This practice is banned in the EU, and reputedly gives wine a flavour that normally requires long storage in wooden barrels.
