Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) and the euro have come to symbolise both the opportunities and the challenges associated with European integration and its political and economic impact. While the Member States have supported each other during the ongoing economic crisis, further structural, monetary and fiscal policy measures are needed to preserve and strengthen the euro. This note has been prepared for the European Youth Event, taking place in Strasbourg in May 2016. |
