Since the Community trade mark and design system was set up to help the EU internal market function, EU enlargement in 2004 and in 2007 brought in its wake a major expansion of the territory covered by the Community systems of IP protection. This article includes some statistics of Community Trade Mark applications and Registered Community Designs in the new Member States, particularly Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary. |
