The Pensions Commission is an independent body set up by the UK Government to keep under review the regime for UK private pensions and long term savings. The commission was announced in the Pensions Green Paper published in December 2002. It issued an Interim Report in 2004 and issued its main report in November 2005. The Commission reports to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.
