The European Casualty Information Platform (EMCIP), managed by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA), is a European database for storing and analysing marine casualty data provided by Member States (Directive 2009/18 EC). It enables Member States and industry to better anticipate and spot trends in marine accidents. The full version of the European Casualty Information Platform (EMCIP) went live on 8 October 2009. |
