Editorial argues that France has a duty under European law to ensure nothing hinders the free movement of goods, and that security arrangements on the French side of the Channel tunnel have been 'woefully inadequate'. However, it is not only France's problem but Britain's too, and the UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair, should put more pressure on the French government to act.
