Water: Commission refers Germany to the Court of Justice of the EU over water pollution caused by nitrates

The European Commission announced on 28 April 2016 it had decided to take Germany to the European Court of Justice for failing to take stronger measures to combat water pollution caused by nitrates.

This decision was a follow-up to a reasoned opinion sent to the German authorities in July 2014.
