War and poverty bring doubt to heartland of Ukraine’s pro-Europe revolt

EurActiv reported in April 2015 on a decline of public support to war in Eastern Ukraine from the most pro-European region of the country, Lviv.

The poor economic situation and a lack of progress concerning quality of life brought a reality shock to those who supported the overturn of the Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovich in 2013, according to the report.
