US groups to censure Ukraine’s Yanukovich

Viktor Yanukovich, the Ukraine’s President, has been criticised August 2010 by two US pro-democracy institutes for backtracking on democratic gains made since the Orange Revolution in 2004.

The criticism focuses on recently adopted election legislation that unfairly undermines the chances of opposition parties in the 31 October 2010 election to regional legislatures.
