Tymoshenko aide rejects cash claims

Article reports that the Ukraine authorities published in October 2010 an international audit saying the former government of Yulia Tymoshenko misappropriated hundreds of millions of dollars.

The move was denounced by her supporters as politically motivated. Publication of the 176-page audit seemed to mark an escalation in a campaign by the administration of Viktor Yanukovich, elected president in February, to discredit the leader of the Orange Revolution and former prime minister and Orange Revolution leader.
