Two members of Greece's far-right Golden Dawn were murdered and a third wounded in a drive-by shooting outside the party's offices in an Athens suburb on the 1 November 2013.. The attack cames weeks after several members of Golden Dawn, including the leader, were arrested on suspicion of forming a criminal organisation. Those arrests followed the killing of an anti-fascist musician. A Golden Dawn supporter was subsequently charged over the killing of Pavlos Fyssas, 34, whose stage name was Killah P. On the 16 November 2013 an obscure leftist group claimed responsibility for the shooting of the two members of Golden Dawn. Greece's Public Order Minister Nikos Dendias warned of 'the beginning of a spiral of terrorist attacks and a bloody vendetta with insecurity spreading in society'. |
