Turkey ‘is acid test for Europe’

The treatment of Turkey's hopes of joining the EU is an “acid test” of tackling terrorists' attempts to sow division, UK Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw, said in a speech 'Europe must come together to defeat terrorism'' in Copenhagen, 23 March 2004.
