Transparent information for retail investors

Small investors often have difficulties understanding and comparing different investment products. As a result, they can often end up with products that do not meet their needs, and may even lose their investment. In order to ensure that retail investors receive understandable and comparable information, the European Commission (EC) has proposed the introduction of a standardised Key Information Document (KID).
