Renting at market prices is expensive in Slovenia and social housing is in short supply. The Draft “National Housing Programme 2015-2025” projects a new rental policy and an increase in the housing stock aimed at the most vulnerable population groups. The expected positive consequences of the new regulation include: easier access to their first home for young people and young families, construction of young people’s housing communities, higher availability of adequate housing for the elderly and additional housing units for the most socially excluded.
