Tourism trends in Mediterranean countries

This special issue on tourism in the Mediterranean area contains a summary chapter on tourism in this region (EU 15 plus the 12 Mediterranean partner countries) and a chapter for each of the partner countries, with a detailed analysis of the evolution of tourism over the past decade and the importance of tourism in terms of the economy. Each country chapter is structured as follows: (I): General situation and key indicators: development and impact of tourism; (II): Tourism supply: Infrastructure and perspectives; (III): Tourism demand: Domestic, inbound and outbound; (IV): Future trends and perspectives.
