This article reports on the first year of TMview, the trade mark database which offers information from 13 intellectual property offices. TMview currently provides access to trade mark applications and registrations from OHIM and WIPO, as well as the Benelux, Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, Estonian, Italian, Portuguese, Slovakian, Slovenian, Spanish and UK offices. Several more EU national IP offices are expected to join later in 2011 and major international partners, including the United States and Japan, are examining the feasibility of participating in the future. |
