This second edition of 'The world merchant fleet: Statistics from Equasis', prepared by the Europea Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA), contains in-depth statistical analysis of 69,500 vessels in the Equasis database and more than 300 tables and graphs, including commentary on some of the more important trends noted. The publication of statistics contributes to more transparency in maritime information by providing users with a unique set of data from three port state control regimes and 40 providers and by making that information freely and publicly available.
