The knowledge-intensive business services sector: What future?

Report featuring three articles on the future of the the knowledge intensive business services sector. The first article sets out a definition of the sector and explores the current situation in the EU, highlighting key similarities and differences in the development of the sector across Member States. The second article explores, in greater depth, the reasons for the sector's growth and draws up three alternative scenarios for its future development. The third and last article goes on to review a range of policy issues that are raised by the three scenarios and outlines major policy responses to these issues.
