The five tests framework. EMU study

This is one of a set of 18 detailed studies accompanying the UK Treasury's assessment of the five economic tests. The tests provide the framework for analysing the UK Government's decision on membership of Economic and Monetary Union (EMU). This study outlines the main issues that are examined in the Treasury's assessment and the approach taken in coming to a decision. It can therefore be seen as a guide to the assessment and the accompanying EMU studies.
