The European Competition Network (ECN): It Does Actually Work Well

National competition authorities and national courts concurrently apply European competition rules with the European Commission focusing on the most severe infringements. The European Competition Network has been established with the aim of assisting the coherent application of competition rules across the EU. This is a network of public authorities consisting of the European
Commission and the national competition authorities and functions as a forum for discussion and cooperation.

The European Institute of Public Administration undertook a study on the functioning of the European Competition Network. This paper presents the results of that study.
