It aimed at providing an introduction to the topic, looking at the EU commitments in the field of climate from a budgetary angle. It contained a brief overview of the policy context, a presentation of budgetary aspects, including a short part on methodology of tracking the climate-related expenditure and on distinction between adaptation and mitigation measures, and finished with concluding remarks on the state of play as regards EU budget for fight against climate change. |
