The EU and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict: The limits of the CFSP

The June War of 1967, this month widely commemorated (also
in the European media),was not just a crucial turning point
in the Arab‐Israeli conflict, but it was also the trigger
for the European Community to launch a common foreign
policy.

Today it is hard to believe, but during the six days battle
the member states of the European Community adopted completely individual stances, without any coordination,
and with particularly France and The Netherlands finding
themselves in opposite positions.
