Under the plan, South Africa will be given five years to phase out use of the terms 'grappa' and 'ouzo'. Italy and Greece had argued that these names should only be used for drinks made in their countries. The dispute has held up implementation of a free-trade accord between the EU and South Africa which was due to enter into force on 1 January this year. |
