Abstract: This article presents the first sytematic empirical analysis of all European Companies established at the time of writing, and focuses on industrial relations issues and the negotiated rules of employee involvement in particular. It elaborates on the election procedures, the special negotation body and the mechanisms of employee information and consulation and board-level representation. Some tentative conclusions consider the likely impact on the development of European indisutrail relations.
