The employment and social situation in Croatia

This briefing paper assesses the central questions concerning employment and social issues in Croatia as at September 2013. After an overview of the main developments in the labour market and in the sphere of social affairs, emphasis is placed on the most relevant legislative and policy measures, especially those introduced after the onset of the financial crisis. The role of social partners and social dialogue during the process is also discussed.
