Date: 18/04/1996 will be awarded to Dutch Christian Democrat MEP Peter Pex next week. Pex was selected by the 300-strong group which works in or with the EU institutions for his efforts to ensure the Commission and Parliament treat same-sex couples more even-handedly. Last year the prize went to German Green MEP Claudia Roth. |
