The authors believe that an enlarged Europe will ultimately create a strong base for the continued growth of European companies, and that this in turn, will result in an improvement of living standards for all citizens across Europe. This first ERT report on EU Enlargement, elaborated in 1999 by the freshly created ERT Working Group on Enlargement – chaired by Percy Barnevik (ABB) – is a collection of 16 case studies from ERT companies’ local affiliates in the (then) candidate countries. |
