The digital divide in Europe

This edition of Statistics in Focus takes a closer look at the differences between societal groups and their access to and usage of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). It discusses the effect of socio-demographic characteristics such as age, gender, educational level or degree of urbanisation on the take-up of ICTs. In addition, this SiF looks at whether the digital divides among different groups of households, individuals or enterprises have narrowed over the recent years.
