This study updates Gerry Boyle's previous (1992) study on 'The competitiveness of Irish agriculture', with EU and international comparisons for key Irish commodities. It contains chapters on the competitiveness of the Irish dairy sector within the EU; the competitiveness of German, French, Irish and UK beef production; the competitiveness of French, Danish, Irish and UK cereals production and the competitiveness of French, Irish and UK sheep production, among others.
