The Commission has called for duties to be scrapped on 95% of exports from Yugoslavia as part of moves to nurture democracy.

The Commission wants the Balkan state to be given the same privileges as its neighbours Croatia, Bosnia and Albania now that former President Slobodan Milosevic has been ousted. The plans will have to be approved by member states.
