The Belgian authorities have questioned a senior European Commission official about pornographic material found on his computer

The official, who works in the Directorate-General for Education, Training and Youth (DGXXII) voluntarily presented himself for questioning last week after learning about the investigation into his activities by the country's Computer Crime Unit. He was released by the examining magistrate on condition that he gets psychiatric help, does not buy further computer equipment or frequent cybercafes where he can surf the Internet, and remains ready to help the police with their inquiries.
