Tax shift in Belgium: What impact on poverty?

In the absence of any assessment of its overall redistributive impact, the Belgian government’s tax shift aiming to reduce the fiscal burden on labour as well as the related budget agreement have triggered a great deal of criticism and speculation about its adverse impact on poverty.
