Tax move fails to soften EU view on tariffs

A decision by the United States Congress to end a corporate tax subsidy ruled illegal by the World Trade Organisation (WTO) is unlikely to bring an immediate end to punitive European Union tariffs on US products, according to the European Commissioner for Trade, Pascal Lamy.
