Switzerland to speed up measures against tax evasion

Switzerland might need to speed up measures against tax evasion like sharing bank client data with foreign tax authorities, according to statements by the Swiss finance minister Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf to the newspaper Neue Zuercher Zeitung in February 2014.

The completion of a draft agreement on the issue by the OECD earlier in the month might be the reason why the country would not be able to hold back until all other countries introduced the practice.
