Abstract:

The study aims to collect economic data on each of the 3,207 products registered under the geographical indication (GI)/Traditional Specialities Guaranteed (TSG) schemes in the EU over the 2011-2017 period.

It covers four schemes: agricultural products and foodstuffs (Regulation (EU) No 1151/2012), wines (Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013), spirit drinks (Regulation (EC) No 110/2008), and aromatised wine products (Regulation (EU) No 251/2014). The data for each GI/TSG have been entered into a database and aggregated at sectoral and geographical levels.
