Date: 14/01/1999 Consumer Commissioner Emma Bonino was not exactly filled with holiday cheer after seeing Greenpeace's Christmas card. It featured a picture of Santa Claus lookalikes demonstrating with a sign declaring, 'Bonino Save Our Bambinos!' Even if Bonino wanted to ban PVC toys as Greenpeace demands, she could not do so unless asked to do so by member states. Greenpeace might consider that before doing the same with bunnies at Easter. |
