Statement: Joint statement on the worsening conflict in South Sudan by High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini and the Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Christos Stylianides

The armed conflict in South Sudan has intensified in recent days, exacerbated by a new military offensive in Unity State. Concerned by the humanitarian consequences of the fighting and the difficulties faced by relief organisations on the ground, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini and European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Christos Stylianides made a statement on 11 May 2015 in Brussels.
