Statement: EU and Jordan sign Memorandum on further cooperation

Commissioner Štefan Füle, responsible for the Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy of the European Union, visited Amman, Jordan on the 13 October 2014. During the visit, the European Union and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) concerning EU-Jordan bilateral cooperation for the period of 2014-2017, which included an indicative financial allocation of up to €382 million.

This support does not include so called ' umbrella programmes ', support available under the ' more for more ' principle and any Syria-related assistance.
