The European Parliament approved on 6 October 2015 in plenary a set of one-off measures aimed at boosting the effective spending of €35 billion earmarked for Greece in the EU 2014-2020 budget. This includes €20 billion from the European structural and investment funds and €15 billion from agricultural funds.

The European Commission welcomed the vote of the parliament. The Jobs and Growth Plan was present by the Commission on 15 July. It still needed to be approved by the Council of the European Union before it was adopted.
