On the 21 January 2017, a bomb at a market place in Parachinar killed at least 20 people and injured more than 50. Parachinar has been targeted for sectarian attacks before, the last time in 2015 when 25 people died in another blast. For the European Union, this attack once again underlines the need to forge strong international bonds in the fight against terrorism. The European Union would continue to work closely with Pakistan against this global threat. |
