Statement by the Spokesperson on the 25th Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova

On the 26 August 2016, the European Union released a statement on the occasion of the 25th Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova. Moreover, the European Union reiterated its call for renewed efforts towards reaching a comprehensive and peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian conflict. On the other hand, the European Union promised to continue supporting the current reform efforts undertaken by the Republic of Moldova in order to maximise the benefits of the Association Agreement.
