Statement by High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini and Commissioner Christos Stylianides on the situation in Syria

On the 3 August 2016, a common statement was released by Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, and by Commissioner Christos Stylianides on the conditions in Syria. As an active member of the International Syria Support Group (ISSG), the European Union seeks to ensure the stabilisation and reconstruction of Syria and the return of refugees and internally displaced people to their homes in safe conditions.
