On 8 December 2016, the European Commission concluded that Belgian intentions to fund electricity generation from offshore renewable energy were corresponding with EU state aid rules. The measure would further EU energy and climate goals along with supporting competition in the Single Market. The Commission also approved support to the Rentel and Norther windfarm projects. |
