Stability and Growth Pact: Presentation. General Affairs and External Relations Council: Ministerial presentation

The meeting began with a presentation on the Stability and Growth Pact by officials from the Irish Department of Finance. It was followed by a presentation by the Irish Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs with special responsibility for overseas development and human rights, Conor Lenihan. In his presentation he covered the discussions at the EU General Affairs and External Relations Council of 23-24 May 2005, with special reference to overseas development and co-operation.
