Speech: Strengthening Europe security and defence sector

Text of a speech by José Manuel Durão Barroso, President of the European Commission on the 4 March 2014 at the High-level conference on the European security and defence sector, in Brussels.

He focused on two questions. First, why does the security and defence sector matter to the European Union? And second, how to do more and better with less?
