Spanish Presidency adds to Kosovo confusion

EurActiv reports that the Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos, whose country holds the rotating presidency of the EU, January-June 2010, added to the confusion over the status of Kosovo on the 26 January 2010. The former Serbian province is recognised by most European countries as an independent state, but not by Spain and some other EU Member States.
