Employers and trade unions are best placed to find solutions reconciling economic and social needs of labour market players, and to devise concrete arrangements that benefit both companies and employees. Both at European and national level, priority should always be given to actions by the social partners in their fields of competence. BUSINESSEUROPE believes in the complementary role European social dialogue can play in labour markets reforms in Europe and is therefore actively engaged in it. This manifests itself through the conclusion of joint opinions, autonomous social partner work programmes, framework agreements and frameworks of actions.
